Celebrated my birthday with my family members and HongKong relatives. More people the merrier which means the more angbaos i will get. I've got the biggest angbaos ever ! Had dinner at home before cake cutting session .

Celebrated my 21st birthday at Hamouru Restaurant in Suntec at 8pm! Well, Patrick was a splendid host for the evening. Enjoyed the dinner although i do not really favour Japanese food but i'm kinda satisfied , i would say that the dishes ordered are exclusive and you might not be able to eat in other resturant. It's the chef's own creation . Had chance to sample on quite a number of finger food for FREE. Patrick surprised me with a ICE CREAM CHOCOLATE CAKE and the WHOLE restaurant staff sang me a Happy Birthday song. Walked all the way to Clarke Quay for more Ice Cream before heading home. All thanks to my irregular heart beat condition, almost had nothing to do.

Suprised that the couple celebrated my birthday during their wedding night . Hope i did not steal their limelight. Everyone was singing a birthday song for me. And i was being aimed at all times. I got a bit drunk so was a bit high ! Later me and some of my friends went clubbing at St. James . I was forced to dance on stage just because its my birthday . I didn't really recall what i did though!

So lazy to even go online nowadays which kinda made my blog stagnant for a very long time ! Its now to clean away the "webs" in my blog. Past 2 months has been a quite busy month , there's big occasions in MINDEF , went for a short holiday to M'sia, and birthday celebration surprises from my sec school and CCA friends (thanks very much for the surprise treats). (Photos still not ready to upload , might take months for the uploading as i am too lazy to do editing right now) . Working in camp has totally made me a LIFELESS person . I lost interest in everything . No mood for anything .

TOTAL DEFENCE TOUR

Days ago , i volunteered to go for the total defence tour organised by my base camp. But it wasn't at all interesting except free goodie bag which i got before the start of the tour. The tour ride sucks big time as the areas covered is far from the camp , just like one end to the other.

Basically , the theme for the trip is "Military Defence", so we were brought to 4 different places, firstly is the NEWater plant (which does not have any link to military defence), followed by the Changi Prison (we were not allowed to enter) , only able to get the view of the exterior as the bus walked by , third is the Changi Museum (it made me hate Japanese more through the visit) and lastly the Changi Beach , (which is so dirty and ULU, managed to get a far view of Pulau Tekong and Pulau Ubin) .

The total bus journey already took 1/2 of the total tour time which i find it damn stupid . ANd sad thing i got to book out late coz of the long ride. But during the ride, there was a tour guide who was trying to give a brief talk about the places we are going to visit and why the places exist there. I could say she is very experienced as she can remember everything and every detail of the history and she does not need any backup just in case she forgets. She can even remember all the dates of what happened in World War II. Most of the participants are Military Police division while only a few of us is from the Base which i find it super pathetic.

I will now talk more about the places .

NEWater Plant : This place is worth going if you are really interested in the production of the NEWater. Actually , NEWater is very clean and hygenic as it goes through 3 levels of distillation before we get the NEWater , but all the nutrients and vitamin would have all been loss through the filtration process as only pure H2O can enter the membrane and all virus , dirty substances are bounced away , so NEWater is just water for drinking which does not contain any nutrients as compared to water in Reservoirs. The NEWater plant is just like a MINI SCIENCE CENTRE where there is a short film to watch in a theatre , followed by some games and a walk through of the NEWater Plant which is all blocked by glass panels so we can view it in an air-con room .

Next is the Changi Prison , too bad that we can't go in , so the tour guide just did a brief explaination of that place while the bus driver drives through slowly. Actually the Changi Prison has did a lot of re-development and now it looks very new , which somehow i can compare it with a hostel . But there are still a few blocks which are pending to be demolished and re-build so you can see the contrast of the new and old buildings.

Next is the Changi Museum where it talks about all the happenings during World War II , there was also a "fake church" which is a copied from the Old Church which is built for those people during World War II , basically for them to pray and seek for help. That visit made me hate the Japanese as i can see all the killings, the torture that they did to our citizens.

Lastly is the Changi Beach where they carry out the killings of those suspected to have communicated with China . Why is that so ? Actually the Japanese suspect that Some Chinese people wrote letters to China informing them what actaully is happening now and what kind of operation that the Japanese carried out so that China can help out. So the Japanese carried out the Sook Ching Operation where they call up all the chinese men , those who wear glasses and with smooth hands will be shortlisted and get killed at the beach.

Overall the trip was quite informative but its a little boring . Hmmm. A bit regret for volunteering to sign up for that trip .

MAS - SELAMAT (WHERE - IS - HE?)

Everyone knows the escape of fugitive JI "MAS SELAMAT" . By the way , selamat sounded like a term for festive celebration . wahahhahaha. Ok. I know you think i am being lame here but i need to entertain myself .

Till today , he is still hiding somewhere but i am quite sure that he had left Singapore. What is threatening is that he might be planning on an attack now . So now as a resident in Singapore , we must always be careful on where we are going.

And a word of advice from me , better avoid crowded areas as terriosts like to plan an attack at busy places as they can harm more people with one attack. Especially in Orchard Area, where most tourists will be visiting that place for sure to shop and eat.

Security has tightened in MINDEF too . Where now all our bags are being checked and all the oncoming cars have to be thoroughly checked before they can enter the place which cause a jam in that area , i can see guards all around the place and even at the main entrance where there are no guards standing there.

I felt sad for the guard as he is standing there all alone looking at all the human and cars that walk or drive in . The MPs are all carrying a rifle around just in case anything bad happens. The number guard duties has rapidly increased.

And what i read from the papers is that anyone who manage to locate Mas's whereabouts will be awarded $1k which is so little. I know that for Osama , the award is a million bucks. Its so much difference . But i think money is not important , no matter whether there's any monetary rewards, we still have to locate him so to end all the fear of being attacked .

So everyone , please lend a helping hand in nabbing him as soon as possible so Singapore will be peaceful once again !

that i have not been blogging for a LONG time . But i will try to update my blog as frequent as i can. Finally i am serving NS for 1 1/2 months. And i will still need to serve for the next estimated 693 days before i ORD. It will be disappointing if i were to convert it to minutes and seconds. I would be having millions of seconds before i ORD then. Everything is fine to me . Nothing much happening though. But i geel more and more boring in the place i am working as nothing challenging to do and i have to accept the take home pay of $400 which is damn little . I do not have free rations as the unit which i am working at does not deliver rations. If i need rations i will have to take a 15 minutes walk to 1st Signal to have my ration so i have to fork out my own pay for the lunch which lessens my allowance . Felt so freaking shit .

Recently had a Lunar New Year celebration by our base which we had a dinner at a restaurant in Bukit Gombak , just beside the driving centre. (*sorry i forgot the name of the place). Our table won a prize for winning one of the games which we have to think of an idea of making a supporting base using straws which will prevent a falling egg from breaking and we succeeded and i have to say that its totally luck as we just anyhow tangle the straws into one bunch of stuff which i don't know how to discribe but prevented the egg from breaking . So that's just luck.

Had participated in the Total Defence Talk held by the base. Actually am just there to hear a short message announced by our base Commander . The talk took less than 5 minutes and i had waited for 1 hr for the arrival of the base commander to read the mesesage. But was invited for the buffet session which shut up my mouth and brighten up my mood. There was so much food which i did not expect and it was tasty. Gobbled up quite a lot of food which forbid me to have dinner at home that night. Of course , met new friends through the dialogue session . But mostly will not get to meet as they are all from other camps and bases. Oh wells , does that matter ?! Still have to remember names of the maams and sirs , remember how they look so i will make sure i greet the correct person and not anyhow greet when i see a guy / woman walking pass me. My upper study will be ORDing by the end of next week which means i have to settle everything and know what to do before he leaves in the next couple of days and which also means i have to work all by myself from that day onwards . Hope everything goes well for me . In NSF , if you were to make any mistakes, e.g (loss of pass , bring camera handphones etc.) good luck to you as i means confinment or having to work extra duties. This is a way for us to remember our mistakes and not to be careless in whatever we do.

BIG TROUBLE

It was since a month since the error has been made. And now the customer has finally called back to resolve it .

The problem is that someone who served that customer gave 2 left sides and each a different size to the customer and its a DOUBLE MISTAKE .

How can a customer wear shoes of the same sides . Hahaha ! And that customer called back from INDIA . The customer was well mannered. She was not at all angry and request us to exchange a brand new pair for her. So i went to check whether the wrong pair of shoes is still in our store, in the end managed to find it . There were so many models but luckily enough , we manage to dig out the correct pair.

But sometimes , i received calls from very demanding customers when we made mistakes on the sizes of the shoes. But i think its not totally our fault . Sometimes we really forget to check again when packing or just accidentally packed the wrong pair. Sometimes , customers try 3 pairs of shoes of the same design but different sides and we tend to make mistakes by packing the worng pair. Sometimes i tend to check before packing but so unlucky that i took up the wrong sides.

But i think customers also need to have the responsibility to check the sizes of the shoes before bringing it for payment and not totally put the blame on us.

Some of the customers were so thick -skinned that they threaten to complain our company if we would not do the delivery for the wrong shoes we sold .

I hate these. Although customers is always right. But i think customers also have the responsibility to check goods before leaving the store and not assume that its no problem and when they found errors , they call up and complain and insist that we do a delivery to rectify the errors , and that they will not come down to do the change.

I see that a number of my collegues are quitting the company soon and some has already left the company for good. Its because they feel the unfair treatment that made them quit. I am also quitting soon .

The rest were just waiting for the year end bonus before they send in their resignation letter which is what i wanted too. Why do we want to help the company save money ? Let the company benefit too.

LADIES NIGHT

Today is the Annual Ladies' Night held in our store. The special thing is only ladies (who's a member) aged 16 and above were invited to enter. No males / gays were allowed to enter. Business was much more better during the ladies night hours compared to the normal working hours. And customers were pouring in into our store hoping to rush for special buys which i don't feel anything special at all. Of course not forgetting the sotrewide 20% for all purchases and an electronic lucky draw held every hour.

There were 2 fashion shoes held. I was not allowed to pass by that level as its a lingerine fashion shows where thin female models were doing the catwalk with just a push up bra and a skimpy underwear with topless male models accompanied. I wanted to get a peep of it but weas not allowed. SAD.

The customers were crazy about the cheap shoes , forgetting the regular priced ones. And as its cheap , many customers wanted to look for sizes. Experience a shortage of manpower and having customers complaining that we took so long to look for a shoe, and some even complained that no one is willing to serve them. But its not that we did that on purpose, but please understand ! As we are experienceing a shortage of manpower, so we need ur understanding and we will serve you shortly. I was like serving 3 customers at one go . Looking for 4 pairs of shoes at one go. Best thing is i had to keep remembering the sizes of the shoe models , afraid that i might forget or have the sizes mixed up.Running here and there and keep excusing myself from one customer to another so i can serve the other customer to and fro. I just hate to work for the 20% storewide as we are always shorthanded and its difficult to serve so many customers at one go and i have always mixed up to which shoes is to which customer.

And there will be a one day 20% storewide sale again held in December , which is next month. But guess it will be much more relaxed as this storewide sale is just over and another sale coming in 2-3 weeks time. Looking forward to my bonus and commission and it will be a big payout for year end. Hopefully i can reach my target savings .

Tomorrow is my off day again . Might be meeting my collegues out for lunch .

WAITED&ARRIVED

Finally i have received my enlistment notice through mail today and my enlistment date is on

14 JANUARY 2008

so sad. My wish did not come true. I was predicting that i will be enlisted after Chinese New Year but i am going NS in January and i am only quiting my job on 6 Jan , which means i only have few more days to enjoy before saying goodbye to my home , my friends , my collegues , my outings , my job , my life. Why am i enlisting in less than 2 months time . So unfair . I still have not have time to really spend my earnings and now i need to go NS already . SAD .

When i quit , i think i might buy a ticket to Genting and stay there for like 3 days ? Play till crazy then come back and get ready for NS. Still can't accept it that i am enlisting in less than 2 months. The notice is just too short. I am crazy. Recently, business is improving as its christmas season and everyone is here to buy presents for family and friends. And as usual , i will be going to my friend's house on Christmas Eve for christmas exchange and CountDown . WOW . Its an annual event where we get to meet up and really chat till dawn .

BUT ! WONDER WHETHER I CAN WORK HALF DAY ON CHRISTMAS EVE SO THAT I CAN SPEND MORE TIME AT MY FRIENDS HOUSE . see how it goes.

but for now , i have to think of a present to buy so that i will not be left out for the gift exchange. Wahahahaha ! ! ! ! Hmm. For now its work and work and work.

BACK AGAIN !

I'm back again after such a long time since the last post. There's nothing interesting happening around me . Just working everyday . But recently, i lost interest in the job i'm in and i am doing count down for the number of working days left before i resign . That job is too bored for me already and its no fun . I feel bored working there everyday , but i just don't understand how some of my seniors have worked there for like more than 9 years, and now i am giving up with less than 6 months in that job. But nothing interest me . I am just working for the sake of money and not enjoyment.

After i quit , i am planning to go back to HongKong for months and will only come back days before my enlistment so i have time to prepare . But till now i still have yet to receive my enlistment letter , so i still have no idea when i will be enlistment. I only got a brief notice that i will be enlisted within the next 6 months which is between Dec till next year May .

Its too boring to stay in Singapore. There's nothing interesting i can do and there's not much places to go to .

Finally ,

i am a confirmed staff. Got rid of the probation period where i've got to wear the plastic trainee badge for the past 3 months.

Time passes so fast and its my 3rd month in the company. Now that the probation peiod is over, i am finally a confirmed staff and i got my metal badge.

But recently i am troubled by the things happening in the company but seems like everyone is picking on me , i don't know why ? Maybe because i am the youngest in the company compared to the older staffs, and maybe coz they are seniors , so somehow no one really want to pick on them. But i am being picked for just very little stuff which make me loss my mood in work.

My staff can always do it but i can't . Once they see me doing , they will ask me not to do it but they are the ones doing and not me. And they always put the blame on me . I just don't know why they have to do this. Nothing benefits them though. I think they want to chase me out of the department but i don't think they will get any benefits. Maybe they are jealous coz i got educational qualifications and most important factor i am young. They are afraid they might be retrenched i think, but why worry , i am just working temporary and not long as i am going NS soon .

Now i report work everyday feeling moody and did not want to talk much . Making my life miserable. Now i will just work till the end of the year , no matter what happens , just because i want my annual bonus, if not , i would have quit. My supervisor asked if i could continue to work , i just nodded and told him that i will try . But i'll see. If i can work happily , i don't mind continue working. But if i am working just because of money , i won't . I would rather go and find a new job than staying in the company and always picked by my staffs.

A BIG MISTAKE

Today , i have made a big mistake which have caused the company to go on shrinkage . Partly is due to my fault and partly due to the customer. The customer demands service , firstly she demanded to get a discount for her purchase, so i brought her to the customer service counter to get her privilege card, before that , she was telling me she is rushing and have no time , but after she got the card and knowing that there's a 10% discount given for her purchases, she went to choose other shoes even though she has not much time left , and i was the one serving her all along, and she kept rushing me to faster pack her shoes as she wants to make payment, so i was also in a hurry and did something wrong which made the company go on shrinkage which i won't want to elaborate further. After her purchase, she still want the staff to make the delivery to her hotel room by night. So my collegue was the one who did the delivery. Thanks a lot , Sharin. But luckily , i do not have to pay for the losses (THANK GOD) , all thanks to my supervisor , who helped to put in good words to the manager, and too the manager was very kind enough to settle the matter for me, and told me not to worry , just don't make the same mistake again . At that moment , i just felt relieved . And do not need to worry about it anymore. Thanks Everyone. I know my mistake and would not be repeating it again . Actually i don't know why i can make this careless mistake which i should not be makking it and i was quite sure i was doing it right at that moment, maybe i am just too blur at that moment and was a bit panic to pack the shoes. And if i am at the cashier counter at that moment when she made payment, i would be able to realise this mistake and make changes immediately, but too bad that i need to serve another customer, so i left it to the cashier to helped me settle payment, so i did not manage to realise the mistake. And if the supervisior did not help to pack the shoes , i would not have known i would made such a big mistake. Hmmm... i think its fated to let someone know my mistake and inform me , so that i would not repeat the same thing. The last time i made a mistake by not checking the size properly before putting the shoes into the shoe box , in the end , the customer got the different size for each side and had her to come back to the store to exchange , SO PAISEH . But luckily the customer is very pleasant and did not mind about it . I think the god is challenging me by giving me to experience all the different mistakes that will be made in sales so that i know it and won't do it. I also think i am quite lucky that i get the problem solved peacefully for everytime a mistake is made by me . The customers i met are not demanding to ask for a refund in transportation and time loss as this was experienced by other staff who did made mistakes too . If the customer did not rush me from the start , i would not be making this silly mistake. The most funny part is that the customer keep taking out her passport to show me where she's from etc. and asked me to help her fill up the particulars to apply for some member's card thingy . Ok . What i am looking forward to is my confirmation letter from the company which i will be getting TOMORROW . I finally passed my 3 months probation period and it was quite difficult to get through as i got bullied by staffs and customers just because i am a trainee but i managed to overcome them and finally become a COMFIRMED STAFF

Sounds bad right ? But this is how my company treats its staff.

I'm so afraid that i will spread my FLU virus to all my other collegues.
But its not that i do not want to get MC , its the commission that made me come to work :)

So i finally finished all my medical appointment and was dignosed with a heart problem called :

Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome

Now what i need to do now is to wait for the medical report to be sent to CMPB and 1) get my PES grading
2) Wait for my enlistment letter

Interested to know what is Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome ?! Here is the information to share

What is the heart's normal condition?
In a normal heart, electrical signals use only one path when they move through the heart. This is the atrio-ventricular or A-V node. As the electrical signal moves from the heart's upper chambers (the atria) to the lower chambers (the ventricles), it causes the heart to beat. For the heart to beat properly, the timing of the electrical signal is important.

What is the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome?
If there's an extra conduction pathway, the electrical signal may arrive at the ventricles too soon. This condition is called Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW). It's in a category of electrical abnormalities called "pre-excitation syndromes."

It's recognized by certain changes on the electrocardiogram, which is a graphical record of the heart's electrical activity. The ECG will show that an extra pathway or shortcut exists from the atria to the ventricles.
Many people with this syndrome who have symptoms or episodes of tachycardia (rapid heart rhythm) may have dizziness, chest palpitations, fainting or, rarely, cardiac arrest. Other people with WPW never have tachycardia or other symptoms. About 80 percent of people with symptoms first have them between the ages of 11 and 50.
How is this syndrome treated?
People without symptoms usually don't need treatment. People with episodes of tachycardia can often be treated with medication. But sometimes such treatment doesn't work. Then they'll need to have more tests of their heart's electrical system.
The most common procedure used to interrupt the abnormal pathway is radiofrequency or catheter ablation. In this, a flexible tube called a catheter is guided to the place where the problem exists. Then that tissue is destroyed with radiofrequency energy, stopping the electrical pathway. Successful ablation ends the need for medication. Whether a person will be treated with medication or with an ablation procedure depends on several factors. These include the severity and frequency of symptoms, risk for future arrhythmias and patient preference.

I feel that i am always being bullied by customers at my workplace and i'm damn pissed whenever i think back of these incidents.

Main reason is because they think i am young and coz i am wearing a TRAINEE badge, so they can raise their voices , threaten to complain me when i have already give them the best service and said that my service is slow where actually i am working fast .

That customer really pissed me off and spoil my mood.

She came to my store to buy shoes with her mother. And i was the unlucky one to serve her.

Her mother's feet size is 5 as the few other pairs she's been trying also size 5.

Suddenly , the daughter brought one pair which i think is size 6 and asked me to look for the exact pair . So i brought the promoter to one side , wanting to inform her that her mother's leg size is actually 5 . So i aksed her to bring both 5 and 6 so that she do not need to walk about if size 6 does not fit her mother's foot. But that idiot i think followed me behind which i did not notice and heard my conversation . And i think she did not hear everything i said , just picking on some words and she shouted,

I WANT TO COMPLAIN . HOW DO YOU KNOW MY MOTHER DOESN'T WANT IT !!!

I was shocked, when did i say that your mother don't want the shoe, i jus say she might not want that size as it might not suit her and i am also not talking to you , why did u kpo so much ....

I was so angry. She walked to the cashier and said loudly that my service is bad , no manners and all.....

ANd the mother treated me like a dog, want me to wear the shoes for her, ordering me to find shoes within 1 minute , and worst of all , the cashier has a long queue, the promoter was like so nice to her that she helped her to queue and make payment while she waits at the counter,

Believe what she said :

" I WANT YOU TO COME BACK WITHIN 5 MINUTES " which i think which is not possible , but luckily she made it .

In the end , she said she will complain me and the promoter for being slow.

We already provided the best service but in the end she still want to complain .

I hate people who are rich . They expect KING and QUEEN services, but remember , you are just a normal customer, you did not pay us to serve you . By right , we do not need to provide these services, but we do it but you are still not satisfied .

Please, if so , you better open your own boutique so that you can buy whatever you want , without needing to wait and so on .

And you think your $1000 note is very big. You are just trying to show OFF .

Sorry for being so unreasonable but please mind your manners.

I apologise for not updating my blog for such a long time as firstly my computer's motherboard iis spoilt and its still under repair and secondly, i am quite busy and was very tired recently that i have no mood to log in to my phones WI-FI and update my blog as the screen is damn small and difficult to scroll .

WORST BUSINESS EVER

The business today is damn bad. Imagine the number of staffs and promoters is more than customers who are here to visit the stores. It was such a boring day , there's no customers to serve . Just stood there and rot , chit chat . What's worrying is that i can't hit the target for the day .

How !

Was expecting there's more customers for this week since the ESTEE LAUNDER is having cosmetics promotion but it seems that all the customers just crowd around that promotion booth and not visiting the store. THe cashiers complained that they are damn busy and tired while i complained that i am too free.

In the end , i went into the store and settle some price changes , and afix new price tags.

And an hour greeting at the entrance made me spent some boring time away.

Ok . See how's tomorrow ! This is the worst of the 3 weeks that i have worked !

Finally its exactly 2 weeks of work since last last thursday.

So overall its fine. I've managed to know the other staffs and promoters around .

I am currently working in the ladies shoes department. It was the 2nd busiest department compared to cosmetics which is always the top most busiest department whole year round. Without the cosmetics department , i don't think we can survive too.

I am in charge of the imported shoes from Italy , Netherlands , Spain . And those shoes is priced between $200-$500 and it is super expensive. Most of the customers are from Indonesia . They are super rich , they can spend money as though money falls from sky.

I see many customers having Black credit cards. Damn rich .

Some customers just don't care the cost and just buy it if they like. 3 pair of shoes already cost them $1000 which is my one month pay and they just spend it in one go and its only 3 pairs of shoes. I wonder what the shoes are made of , "GOLD ?!".

Everyday i see all sorts of customers :

1) The "ACT RICH " type

Obviously, this type of customers just want "FACE" . They can't afford to buy the shoes but insist that i let them try the shoes, and i have to roam around the store to look for that pair of shoes. So troublesome !

And some of the customers scared embarrass that they don't buy after trying. And guess what they told me

" Em. This shoes cuts my feet"

Oh ! What the hell ! ! ! ! A pair of shoes which costs $499 can cut ur feet ! ! ! You can have the cheek to say that.

Some of the customers are just idiots. I told them that the shoes are direct imported from Italy and it is also made in italy . They don't believe me and they say sure is made in china .

HELLO ! Such an expensive pair of shoes , how is it possible that it is made in CHINA ! You tell me !

I cannot tolerate these customers but also i can't tell them off.

There are also many other fussy and weird customers that i will not continue to elaborate. Just the few examples above you will know how fustrated i am feeling.

But there are also a handful of customers whom are very sincere in buying. They will only ask to try the size when they feel they really want to buy it , and true enough , after trying the size that fits , they just pay for it . How i hope all the customers are like that , that do not cause trouble and inconvenience.

So what if you are a customer. I know you have all the rights to order us . But you must remember , all of us are human beings. Don't try to push one's limit .

And i hate customers who like to complain about little stuffs. Hey , we are working for a living , if the matter is not serious , please don't try to blow up the matter, and cause us to lose our jobs .

I am under 3 months probation. Weird right ? Even sales associates also have probation period.

I will remain as a trainee for 3 months ! Haiz ....

Why can't i be a staff immediately .

Being a full time staff i will get the following benefits :

1) Waive of all medical consulatation at appointed clinics

2) Free personal locker

3) Commission

4) Getting the same status as all the other staffs

FINALLY I HAVE CHANGED MY CURRENT JOB AND WILL BE DOING SALES FROM THIS THURSDAY.

Initally i applied for a position as a sales associate. But the executive called me and asked me whether i can change to become a cashier as there were more vacancies in cashier than sales associate. I never gave a second thought and immediately to agree on her offer , as i know that its not easy to get a sales job as u know, i am enlisting for NS soon .

And a while later i regretted. Its not that i don't like cashiering but i feel unsafe handling money and cashless transaction, as any mistakes made will be held responsible and i will have to reimbuse the amount loss, but for sales job i will not get worry about this . Actually i find cashiering a fun and at the same time a post that can make your time past faster as there's always customer paying for stuff , while sales associate is just the opposite, sometimes there's even less than 10 customers visiting the department a day , which will make one bored , staying there for 8 hrs juz feels like 16 hrs.

Went for interview today , she asked me what post i am applynig for. I said cashier. She was a bit worried as she can see from my expression that i do not like that post so she asked me again , which post i am interested in .

In the end, i was offered the post of sales executive CUM cashier . I will still need to do cashiering if there's a lot of payment going on but most of the time i will remain in my sales department.

She asked me a lot of questions , mostly regarding my past sales experience, the pay , how i manage to tackle customers etc.

Sigh of relief. I get to do sales. A more relieving and a non-tiring job.

前几天我的一个朋友接到一个短信：内容是你中了大奖，奖金 20万现金，联系电话等等。朋友没有理会，现在这事多了都知道是骗局，过了一阵朋的手机响了，一个南方小姐问：先生你收到中奖通知了吗？朋友说收到了，小姐说：请把你的银行卡的帐户告诉我们，我们把奖金汇进你的卡里。朋友一想给你个帐号看你玩什么把戏，朋友在招商银行有个哥们，于是就给她一个招行一卡通的帐号，十分钟后，朋友的手机又响了，南方小姐说：先生你的奖金已经存进你的帐户里了，请你查询一下，朋友用电话银行查询，果然进了 20万。朋友高兴极了，白捡 20万。 30分钟后南方小姐来电话，带着哭腔对朋友说：先生对不起，由于我的疏忽忘了抵扣奖金的个人所得税了， 20万的 20%也就是 4万元, 现在公司让我个人赔偿，请您把 4 万所得税汇回来好吗，求您把4 万所得税汇回来好吗，求求您了, 朋友一想也在理，也有可怜小姐之心，一想卡里还有钱，于是就到招行汇款，忽然他想到招行的哥们，就找到在招行的哥们，让他查一下，招行的哥们一查，是用其它行的支票汇过来的，虽然钱到帐，但当天入不了帐，也就是说 20万今天取不出来，如果对方今天撤票， 20万就没了，朋友! 一听吓的直吐舌头，差一点 4万就没了。果然下班前那笔汇票撤销了。如果没有银行的朋友，如果不是专业人士，如果怕别人知道中奖，这个骗局一定会成功。这是真人真事，引以为戒哦。以后的骗局会比这还高明，看完了别忘转告亲朋好友，以防上当。

For these 2 weeks , i have been working part time for a small firm which deals with the installation of floorpaper or floormat which i am not really sure how to describe it (feeling ashamed being an interior designer and still do not know what's that really called)

So i have been helping to apply adhesive to the mat and putting on double sided tape, sweep the floor and keep it damn clean with no sign of any sand or dust before the mat can be installed.

For the person who sees it , will think this is an easy job . Exactly, it does not require any brains , but will end up having cramps and aches all over the body for beginners like me. But now i am more comfortable with the job and got the hang of it . Although it is boring as it is a repeated process, but time passed by very quickly and easymoney too.

Ok. Enough of typing , show you the process :::::::::::::::::::::::

The white coloured patch is the adhesive

First , i have to use a scraper to scrap adhesive on the sides of the wall so that the adhesives on the sides will be thicker to prevent the mat from coming off so soon.

Next , i've got to use a roller and roll all around the area which the mat will be installed on. After that , wait for the adhesive to dry efore sticking the mat onto the ground.

Yesterday was well spent with my family. They will be leaving to HongKong next week for my cousin's wedding .

We went for a day trip orgianised by my RC . Was quite a special trip as we were brought to all the so called "ULU TEMPLES" which we are not known of due to its location .

Total we visited about 10 temples. And i've got headaches after breathing in all the smokes coming from joss sticks . Terrible.

But i can say that i am very faithful that day praying sincerely at all the temples that we were brought to.

Was trying to take photos using my phone's camera but it seems impossible.

The memory card cropped up and i have no more "megabites" left in my phone

Ok . I have been shortlisted by NUS to take the aplitute test and interview as i have been offered a place in both Architecture and Industrial Design course.

I have went for the test and inteview and what i hope for now is that i get to scure a place in NUS Architecture Course.

I am not interested in its Industrial Design course offer but since i opt for them so i have to go .

I can't say whether the test is easy or not. It depends on individual but all the questions require a basic skill which is

CREATIVITY !

One has to be creative in order to answer all the questions skillfully .

Also one have to be FAST . Only 2 hours to build an abstract model , and design a furniture using the main theme , "heaviness and lightness".

There is also one question that requires us to use 5 words to desribe :

(1) Farnsworth House
(2) A designer Kettle (cylindrical shaped)

Ok . I've gone through the test , now what i hope is that i scored well and get a placing in NUS !!!

Finally i get to celebrate new year at my coursemate's house .... look at the number of food containers.... peanuts , cakes.... whatever u name it , has it..... Full set of new year goodies.....
Some of the unusual food are Famous Amos Cookies and Brownie........ First time i see them considered as new year goodies.

Update on the trip to the course and career fair 2007 at Suntec City . Was wearching for interior design courses that is offered by overseas school . The cheapest i known of is $50,000 and the most expensive is $88,000. and the course will only lasts for 3 years standard for all interior design courses regardless of any school.

There were sample works from student in Interior Design as well as Architecture .

At this moment , its the end of yr 2006 and the arrival of yr 2007. Yr 2006 also marks the end of my poly life as i will be graduating in a few months time. Yr 2007 will be a time where i will finally end my studies temporary to prepare for army life.

Well, its difficult to make decisions to further studies right now. But my aim is to get a degree before i will find a stable job.

Well, i might not be staying in Singapore after army and will further study in HongKong University and most probably will work there after graduation if not in Macau is also fine. Singapore will be my last resort.

Had my annual Dinner today. The food there are acceptable. Not too bad, taste fine overall. So was there to sit around with 8 other people excluding my bro.
It was quite interesting with Free lucky draw and performance. Was there to try out my camera phone that i bought 2 days ago.....

A Busy weekend spent on visiting friends' places to celebrate Christmas
3 Full Days spent on visiting 4 parties which one of them is quite a quick one....So can say 3 full parties.....Spent some money again to buy gifts for gift exchange.

Lucky no need to decorate the house this year, still remember after last year's Christmas, what i got is presents and cramps of my hands.....

Cadbury Chocolates ! ! ! ! Shiok ! Finishing them up Soon. I opened it the moment i got home and started eating. The chocolate taste was so nice that i kept popping them into my mouth.

Away for 4 days is in fact not bad at all ! Here, I am back at my home to restore my blogging habit again !Christmas whould be a time where I accept gifts but for me it’s the opposite, instead I bought my own gifts. I have wanted to buy this pair of shoe a month ago and the reason for buying it is my preference to its design and the contrast of the black and yellow colour used , and with the new mode " ADIZER" trend; which is a new name given for its track shoes [running], I have no excuse not to buy it ======== $129.00 is the cost for it.

I don't know why I have bought this wallet when i already have a leather Billabong w wallet which i am usig now. Regrets , but no choice , since i have bought it , then have to use it , maybe i was being attracted to it at the first sight. Really bought it on impulse.

Critique Finally Ended and its time for Debrief
This debrief basically sums up the overall performance of our project and also to let us know some of the goods points and bad points that our own pals have done.....
I think there's something that the lecturer said that referred to me .....

I will not elaborate further .....

Today was quite boring in school
Firstly went to the library to return books

Ans also brought one of the books to photocopy
Was totally confused by the photocopying auntie that i almost quarreled with her as i really need the copies and she thought i wanted another thing.... was damn mad ! ! ! And when my friend called me and ask me to be fast... and i am there explaning to the auntie on what i wanted.... She is BLUR too.....

Debrief was not any interesting ....
A lot of works have to be done during the holidays and to be submitted when school reopens...
3 WEEKS only and we have to sum up the year's project
Its really a very short time....
I know i don't have enough time to complete all

Coz i don't even have my models yet.
Renders is not any good either.
I am not a good designer.
I am not good at so many things .
I am not skilled.
I think no one will hire me.
I think no one will recongize me as a designer.
I don't like RENDERING and MODELLING ! !

Went to Bugis with my friend to eat KFC then shop around Bugis Street .

And i am walking as if i am in a maze

My mother and father will be going to IPOH on 26-29 Dec , so i think they will not go with me
Its too bored staying in Singapore
Planning to go Ipoh or Penang ! ! ! !
Genting i think i can't coz i don;t know how to gamble .
And its no fun playing alone .

So i hope i can REALLY ENJOY this 3 Weeks as the past months i hae been a workholic ,

But the lecturers do not recommend us to go overseas now but concentrate on the Port Folio Submission as it is going to be exhibited in NLB and this is our chance to show the public the skills that we have.

So in the end went to lehning's office to transfer the file to his laptop

but it WORKED....

when Lehning opened my harddisk ,

he was damn piss

keep lecturing me

when he is scolling for my files

was damn unorgainsed,

and he say if he is the harddisk, he will be pissed and would not work for me..

I was at that time so panic afraid that i could not send the files over

but he was there ............... * to be inagined by whoever read this post !
